The sparkling version of Leitz's alcohol-free Riesling from Rüdesheim. The wine is dealcoholised under vacuum at about 29 °C and then carbonated, which is why the label calls it a sparkling drink made from dealcoholised wine rather than a sparkling wine. Light, citrusy and slightly sweet, with about 31 g of sugar per litre according to the winery's e-label, although the figure changes from lot to lot.

How to read an alcohol-free wine label

What "up to 0.5 %" means. In the EU, "alcohol-free" means 0.5 % ABV or less. We use it on every wine page.
