A Chardonnay from the Langhe in Piedmont, part of Fabio Oberto's alcohol-free project: the wine is fermented fully and the alcohol is then removed by reverse osmosis. Sugar and acidity are rebalanced with grape must and the drink is pasteurised instead of receiving preservatives. The label describes it as an alcohol-free drink obtained from wine, with about 32 g of sugar per litre.

How to read an alcohol-free wine label

What "up to 0.5 %" means. In the EU, "alcohol-free" means 0.5 % ABV or less. We use it on every wine page.
